NETWORKING - We provide opportunities (some at no charge) for
you meet potential customers, make vital contacts and learn from
your peer professionals. These events include luncheons, after
hours mixers, social gatherings, committee meeting, our annual
Monte Carlo, Golf Outings and Secretary/Administrative Luncheon.
WOMEN'S DIVISION - Female business owners/managers meet
monthly to network and discuss issues of interest.
HEALTH INSURANCE - All business members are eligible to
participate in ChamberChoice, a variety of health care plans through
Blue Cross/Blue Shield, regardless of business size or pre-existing
conditions.
REFERRALS - We receive hundreds of request for
recommendations on goods and services to be purchased in the
Penn Hills area. We refer ONLY to Chamber Members.
GOVERNMENTAL ADVOCACY - The chamber tracks local, state and
federal issues that affect members. The Community Affairs
Committee studies and acts on a variety of small business concerns.
EDUCATION - Chamber-sponsored workshops and seminars bring
education and first-rate personal and professional training to you
and your staff at a very affordable cost COOPERATIVE EFFORTS
WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT - The chamber is extremely
committed to the Penn Hills School District, realizing that our
children hold the key to our future.
We are actively involved in the many facets of the Quality
Community Project - Honor an outstanding vocational student with
a $500 scholarship each year - Co-sponsor an Open House for
Realtors to showcase the Penn Hills Schools - Co-sponsor a Career
Day for High School Students in Penn Hills.
PUBLICITY - There is no better way to get your firm's name before
the public and the business community that through your Chamber
membership. Our "Chamber News" publication is mailed to over 350
addresses. For a nominal charge, you can insert a 8 ½ x 11
advertisement in that publication.
COMMUNITY PRIDE - The Chamber provides financial assistance to
such community projects as Pride in Penn Hills Cleanup and the
Red Ribbon Anti-Drug campaign.
